Giddy Up Ranch has gone to the birds!

Giddy Up Ranch has been home to La la and Star, two beautiful white Cockatoos for quite some time. Recently, we acquired two new birds… a large, magnificent Blue and Gold Macaw and an equally gorgeous, super spunky African Gray Parrot. Here are some facts about all of their species:

White Cockatoo: Can live up to 100 years, are very affectionate and love to dance, are known to be escape artists (We have an extra clip on the cage!)

Blue & Gold Macaw: One of 17 different Macaw species, have an average lifespan of 30-50 years, have a wingspan of around 3 & 1/2 feet, can be incredibly loud and noisy

African Gray Parrot: Known as one of the most intelligent species of birds, in captivity have a lifespan of 50-70 years, are impressive at mimicking sounds such as their owner’s voice, household appliances, and even other species of birds
