Riverside County Fair & Date Festival

Giddy Up Ranch will make a second appearance at the Riverside County Fair and Date Festival, beginning on February 14th.   We will be providing camel rides and pony rides for fair patrons, just as we did a year ago.  But unlike the festival in 2019, our petting zoo will also be on display.

With Giddy Up Ranch now supplying the animals for the event, you can expect to see more variety, more babies, and more exotics in the petting farm.  This attraction will be offered free to the general public, with the price of fair admission, while feed cups for our critters can be purchased for just $1.00.

The camels are a natural headliner, given their massive size and appearance.  So be sure to hop aboard Nadia, Joe, J.J or Harry, to get that perfect photo or video to increase the likes on your social media.

The festival runs from February 14th to the 23rd, featuring numerous rides and attractions. Also being featured in 2020 is old school hip-hop artists Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Tone Loc and Young MC. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic provide a throwback to the early 80s, while Chris Janson is one of country’s rising stars.

It has been several years since Giddy Up Ranch was uprooted from its position at the Brentwood Farmers Market. And throughout that time, there were several attempts to find a replacement home on Sundays.

A new location had to fulfill our requirements, such as space and atmosphere, to properly provide you with the service you have come to know and love over time. And through a continuous effort to restore service to West Los Angeles, you can now find us in Beverly Hills.

Surrounded by its affluent neighborhoods filled with shops and scenes, Giddy Up Ranch is now providing Camel rides, Pony Rides, and a petting zoo at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market. Only blocks from Rodeo Drive and minutes from the ocean, we are now accessible to those in this affluent community, as well as the adjacent areas of Brentwood, Westwood, Santa Monica and Los Angeles. The nearby 405 freeway also provides a gateway to the San Fernando Valley, where we previously serviced Northridge and Studio City markets.

Wedding Crashers

Weddings are one of the world’s most extravagant events. Each will vary in size and theme, based on culture, religious beliefs and expenses. But there is one common link to these celebrations, being that the bride and groom are the focal point of this grand affair.

It is the bride that traditionally remains unseen before the ceremony. And depending on the culture and order of the wedding party, it is the groom that will then make his way to the alter, and sometimes do it aboard a camel.

The camel is most prevalent at Indian and Arabic weddings, but certainly is no stranger among the rest. Traditional American weddings can take on a new twist, just by adding one of these large animals to entertain and captivate guests. A royal affair demands royal attire, so camels are clad in the decorative garb for the occasion.

And just as the bride and groom, camels can also come in pairs, which enables husband and wife to parade side by side.

White Weddings

Prior to the mid nineteenth century, brides wore gowns of any color. Things soon changed thereafter, with white, the symbol of purity and innocence, becoming the premiere choice for modern brides.

Today, you wear a color other than white and you are “non-traditional”.

White is the long flowing gown and veil, and even the pale bouquet she carries in her hand.

White is the wedding cake and fixtures, as well as the animals for viewing in the wedding farm.


Live animals displays have become more common, as it allows newlyweds to add something a little different, while still remaining traditional. White sheep and goats transition from barnyard dwellers to wedding props, with a color that fits the scheme. Throw in white chickens, ducks and rabbits, and even a pale miniature cow, and the setting is nearly complete.

With soon-to-be husbands appearing in a black tuxedos at most traditional weddings, the Zebra instantly symbolizes the union of bride and groom. Beautifully groomed and displayed, these stripes instantly adorn wedding photographs and become a conversation piece for guests.

Planning a wedding is tedious, with most preparation beginning at least a year in advance. So when planning yours, consider detailing it with animals, and allow these four-legged fixtures to crash your party.
