Two Weeks In Indio

Riverside County Fair & Date Festival

Giddy Up Ranch will make a second appearance at the Riverside County Fair and Date Festival, beginning on February 14th.   We will be providing camel rides and pony rides for fair patrons, just as we did a year ago.  But unlike the festival in 2019, our petting zoo will also be on display.

With Giddy Up Ranch now supplying the animals for the event, you can expect to see more variety, more babies, and more exotics in the petting farm.  This attraction will be offered free to the general public, with the price of fair admission, while feed cups for our critters can be purchased for just $1.00.

The camels are a natural headliner, given their massive size and appearance.  So be sure to hop aboard Nadia, Joe, J.J or Harry, to get that perfect photo or video to increase the likes on your social media.

The festival runs from February 14th to the 23rd, featuring numerous rides and attractions. Also being featured in 2020 is old school hip-hop artists Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Tone Loc and Young MC. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic provide a throwback to the early 80s, while Chris Janson is one of country’s rising stars.

As a reminder, be sure to mark your calendar or bookmark our website.  For more information, you can also access the Riverside County Fair website, which will provide you with dates, maps and more.

The 90210

It has been several years since Giddy Up Ranch was uprooted from its position at the Brentwood Farmers Market. And throughout that time, there were several attempts to find a replacement home on Sundays.

A new location had to fulfill our requirements, such as space and atmosphere, to properly provide you with the service you have come to know and love over time. And through a continuous effort to restore service to West Los Angeles, you can now find us in Beverly Hills.

Surrounded by its affluent neighborhoods filled with shops and scenes, Giddy Up Ranch is now providing Camel rides, Pony Rides, and a petting zoo at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market. Only blocks from Rodeo Drive and minutes from the ocean, we are now accessible to those in this affluent community, as well as the adjacent areas of Brentwood, Westwood, Santa Monica and Los Angeles. The nearby 405 freeway also provides a gateway to the San Fernando Valley, where we previously serviced Northridge and Studio City markets.

Bringing Legend To Life

Adults understand that unicorns are a thing of Legend. But when it comes to children, it’s just one of those magical creatures yet to be seen. They admire the figurines and stuffed duplication of myth on store shelves. They repeatedly flip through the pages of books for a second glance, and replay their favorite programs that feature this rare sight. A child viewing a unicorn is a child happily staring in awe. And for this reason, Giddy Up Ranch brings legend to life——-if only for a moment.

There are many children’s parties that are unicorn themed. Appearing on plates, napkins and hanging decorations, its image is clearly seen. But most of these functions are absent the guest of honor, because adult imagination is narrow in comparison to that of a child. How can you deliver to a party something that does not exist? Well, the answer is a lot easier than you may think.

Through imagination and creation, we can all become a child again. With a touch of glitter and bows, and a spray of dye in just the right places, our ponies easily transform to duplicate those images of legend. With a single horn protruding from its head, the final and most important detail is applied, and no longer do we have myth.

By broadening the imagination, a child’s fantasy becomes reality. It’s as simple as renting a pony and providing us with the details and needs. Reserve your unicorns today and heighten the imagination of party guests tomorrow. ———– “Legend” is only a phone call away.

Higher Learning

For more than 30 years, Giddy Up Ranch has provided animals to public and private schools across Southern California. It is a hands-on education, as students get the opportunity to experience critters they have only read about in storybooks or saw on television and motion pictures.
It is a mobile field trip, which allows us to bring animals to your campus, instead of the institutions incurring the high cost of transporting children to outside venues. With animals displayed onsite, it also ensures full student participation, instead of allowing only an allotted few.

Our services are provided according to need, meaning every school package may be different. While preschool and kindergarten programs are more suited for pony rides and petting zoos, middle and high schools have more interest in animal presentations that may fit their curriculum or larger camels for homecoming entrances and prom display.

Institutes of higher learning have asked us to provide small animals for stress release before final exams, as well as a larger variety of exotics for student film productions and themed festivals.

For more than 30 years, we have proudly educated those in urban areas, teaching the difference between sheep and goats, llamas and alpacas, and ducks and geese. In many cases, that is more than 3 decades of repeat visits to the same institution. And when you put that in perspective, it means a child from the past may now have children of their own. Those children now experience the same barnyard sights and sounds as their parents once did—-with it all provided by the same service.

At Giddy Up ranch, it is more than just establishing partnerships with schools throughout Southern California. We can proudly say that in those 30 years we have also established traditions.

Oceans & Valleys

Petting Zoo_Monrovia

While we are always searching for new locations to serve you, here’s a quick reminder that we have maintained a longstanding presence at two current markets.

Monrovia Street Fair

We have been a steady fixture at this San Gabriel Valley street fair for more than a year now. You can find our setup on the corner of Myrtle and Colorado, adjacent to the Wells Fargo.  What makes Monrovia unique is that the attractions are unlimited.  You can join us there for pony rides, camel rides and a full petting zoo.

The Market officially opens at 5:00 pm every Friday, and currently runs till 9:00 pm.  But you will find us open for business even earlier, as we are ready to go as soon as our setup is complete.

Surf City Nights

lamb

As the temperature dropped, we vacated this Huntington Beach street fair in December.  But we will be making a return on Tuesday, April 3rd, so beach-goers can once again enjoy our adorable petting zoo.

Our location within the fair has moved.  So if  you were used to finding us in from of the Post Office on the corner of Main and Olive, you can now find us across from Baskin Robbins. If you’re having any trouble finding our location, just follow your nose. I’m sure it will lead you right to us.

The Surf City Nights Street Fair runs from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm every Tuesday.   But just as it is in Monrovia, we are open for business as soon as the fences go up.
